Technician Level Breakdown
If you're ready to join a shop where your skills are appreciated and your career can grow, we encourage you to submit your resume to autoexpert@bobstrans.com. We’re excited to meet dedicated technicians who want to be part of our team.
C-Level Technician
A C-Level Technician is typically responsible for foundational automotive tasks such as oil changes, fluid checks, and tire rotations. This role also includes simple component replacements—like batteries, starters, and alternators—and assisting with inspections by following structured service checklists. Technicians at this level usually work under close supervision while gaining experience in more advanced repairs.
B-Level Technician
A B-Level Technician brings all the skills of a C-Level technician but with additional knowledge and independence. These technicians can perform routine safety inspections, handle alignment and suspension services, and diagnose most common malfunctions with minimal oversight. They are often responsible for managing more complex systems, including HVAC components and advanced diagnostic procedures.
A-Level Technician
An A-Level Technician is considered the expert of the shop, capable of completing any repair without assistance. This level requires mastery of all tasks performed by C and B-Level technicians, along with a deep understanding of modern vehicle technology and diagnostic tools. These technicians often take the lead on complicated repairs, engine diagnostics, and challenging problem-solving situations.
