Technician Level Breakdown
C-Level (Entry-Level) Technician
- Perform basic maintenance such as oil changes, fluid checks, and tire rotations
- Replace minor components (batteries, starters, alternators)
- Assist with vehicle inspections and follow checklists for routine services
- Require close supervision and guidance for advanced repairs
- B-Level (Intermediate) Technician
Possess all C-Level skills, plus additional expertise
- Perform routine safety inspections and handle suspension/alignment services
- Diagnose and repair most vehicle malfunctions with minimal supervision
- Manage more complex systems, such as HVAC and advanced diagnostics
A-Level (Advanced) Technician
- Master all tasks performed by C and B-Level technicians
- Serve as the shop’s problem solver for challenging diagnostics and engine repairs
- Demonstrate an expert understanding of modern vehicle technologies and diagnostic equipment
- Complete any repair situation independently
